Take Action on Breast Cancer with Pink Hope

We are joined by Sarah Powell from Pink Hope, an Australian non-profit organisation for educating and preventing hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.

Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer at 29 years old but it was the news she carries a BRCA1 mutation that sent her looking for support and information. Luckily she found Krystal Barter and the Pink Hope community and since then has been a big supporter of the charity by volunteering, sharing her story and fundraising.

We discuss:

  • Pink Hope Edu Evenings

  • The one minute video on learning to self screen is here.

  • Take Action campaign from Pink Hope,

  • Fertility preservation when receiving cancer treatment

  • Sarah Powell shares her story

  • Pre-conception genetic screening to avoid BRCA1

Hosted by Dr Raelia Lew and Jordi Morrison
